Heaton GS 1969/70
A trip back in time to the 1969/70 season when Heaton GS were crowned Evening Chronicle Cup winners. The team was coached by Mr Malcolm Frost and Mr Ian Matthew.
There are some very noticeable differences to how we view football now, a squad of 13 as only one substitute was allowed back in those days as well as one reserve. Socks are pulled to the knees and the boots are gleaming having been polished. It's a far cry from today with the multi coloured boots and synthetic materials used to make them.
