Opportunity for Northumberland Girls
We have provided an opportunity for a representative team from Northumberland Schools FA to represent the UK in the 2023 Gothia Cup at the U15 Girls age group. This will ensure they experience playing international teams, new cultures and be educated in not only football, but mixing with other teams from around the world.
The team will be a squad of up 15 players who were selected from open trials to represent Northumberland Schools U15
There will be over 120 teams in the U15 age group from countries from around the world, including USA, Scandinavia, Asia and across Europe.
What To Expect
Based on previous years the U15 Girls age group is the largest; expected numbers will be in excess of 120 teams at the age group, 30+ groups of 4 or 5 will play each other over the first 3 days of the tournament. The tournament then splits into A Finals and B Finals (Top 2 in each group progress to A Finals, the rest progress to the B Finals).
